Day One

Arrival in New England
Ah… there’s nothing like the fresh smell of the north-country air! Senses are heightened by spectacular rural settings with picturesque countryside colors of red barns, green pastures dotted black and white cows, majestic mountains and rocky coastlines. Arrive in Vermont for two nights. The Tour Trends Tour Director welcomes you with a wine and cheese welcome reception. (Get-acquainted Dinner)

Day Two
Vermont Touring & Calvin Coolidge Homestead
Depart for Plymouth Notch for a visit to the Calvin Coolidge Homestead, the birthplace of our 30th President. Visit the Plymouth Cheese Factory, in operation since 1890! Then travel to the quintessential New England village of Woodstock for free time and lunch on own before continuing to Quechee Gorge; Vermont’s little grand canyon, for a picture stop. After dinner, enjoy the Summer Squash Show at Michael’s Playhouse. (Breakfast & Dinner)

Day Three
New Hampshire Touring & Franconia Notch
This morning, say farewell to Vermont and journey into the White Mountains of New Hampshire. First, a short tour of Hanover; home to Ivy-League Dartmouth College then continue north to Franconia State Park and visit the Flume Visitor’s Center. Soar to the top of Cannon Mountain for an aerial tram ride. Journey southward into the Lakes region with stops at Squam Lake, featured in the movie “On Golden Pond”, and Lake Winnipesaukee; the largest lake in New Hampshire. The next two evenings will be spent in the lakes region of New Hampshire. (Breakfast & Dinner)

Day Four
Maine Coastal Touring
This morning, travel into Maine to the seaside village of Kennebunkport, summer home to former President Bush. Driving into town, make sure you get your camera ready for a picture of the ornate gingerbread-trimmed Wedding Cake House. From here, travel south along the jagged coastline into Ogunquit, named “beautiful place by the sea” by the Abenaki Indians. Enjoy a scenic cruise out of Perkin’s Cove on a Lobster Boat to learn all about these tasty creatures of the sea. Following the cruise, travel into York for a visit to Cape Neddick Light, otherwise known as “the Nubble”. Finish this wonderful day with a traditional Lobsterbake dinner. (Breakfast & Dinner)

Day Five
Depart for Home
Bid farewell, taking home many fond memories of this Northern New England Adventure. (Breakfast)
